  • FTE dependent on experience
  • Any combination of home working/ working from our Boston Spa office in West Yorkshire/ working from the client site

About you

Essential Skills

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Two years of post qualification experience in a mid to small accountancy business
  • IT literate, ideally with experience of SAGE, IRIS, Xero and QuickBooks, but with a track record of using many different accounting systems
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with clients and colleagues

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation and presentation of year end accounts, management accounts and business tax computations
    • Preparation of forecasts and budgets
    • Personal tax computations
    • Audit experience
    • Financial Direction/Business advisory: Working with clients to produce action plans and budgets and hold them accountable to help them increase the value of their businesses
    • Liaising with clients and answering their general business and accounting questions
    • Recruitment and management of a team of accounting staffLiaison with HMRC on behalf of clients
    • Representing Northern Tonic in front of existing and prospective clients in person, by telephone or written communications
